Its a new year
Another year come and gone
and be honest, Im not sad to see 2017 come to an end. It was a tough year for me and my little family. But thats a post for another day and another time. I'm feeling very hopeful for 2018. There's something about the beginning of a new year that feels so good. A completely fresh start. A path before you with so many possibilities and so many unknowns. An entire year before you to sculpt into what you want. Don't brush off the obligatory new years resolution making. I challenge you to choose something and realign your focus on it.
I typically try to just stick with one, but this year I have *three*
1. This year is all about practicing self love and finding contentment in the now (blog post on that coming soon!)
2. Go. To. Church. -- The last few months have been crazy hectic for my little family and church was put on the back burner. We're very aware and we feel it in every facet of our lives when it's missing. The Lord is what keeps us centered and focused and we are so craving Him now.
3. Take more pictures of *my* family-- launching my business in Wichita this past year was crazy fulfilling and rewarding, but I neglected to focus on my own family and capture all the little moments like I used to. I miss that and I know if I do it again this year I'll regret it. Levi is growing way too quickly and I know I soon won't remember *all the little things*. So this year I'm committed to a week 52 project where I document my family/life weekly. (I'll be making a monthly blog post about this journey, but the majority will be posted in my private SHP community group if you'd like to follow along)
In honor of my third resolution here's my first week 52 post of my little man. Always a car in hand. Happiest when he's outside breathing in the fresh are.
Whew. Long post. I would LOVE to hear your New Years resolutions. There's something to be said about actually writing down into words what your new focus for the year will be. No matter how big or small, share below 👇
